The choice of the right blade for the job is now made much easier by the availability of multi-purpose diamond blades such as Multi-Slysa, which slice a wide range of materials. If you consistently cut one type of material such as porcelain tiles or hard bricks, we have diamond blades fully optimised for the job.
Choosing the best diamond blade for your application:
- Identify the material you most want to cut and the extreme of hardness of material.
- If you want to cut mainly hard material, your blade needs either a soft segment (which means shorter life), or a good concentration of high grade diamonds (such as Brick Slysa Premium), which will inevitably cost more, but will perform best.
- If you want to cut mainly soft materials such as concrete products (flag stones, kerbs etc)then, it may only be worth buying a low priced blade (such as our General Purpose range) as abrasive wear will limit the life and you may not get good value from an expensive blade.
- If you want to cut a wide range of materials with one blade, there is now Multi-Slysa and Multi-Slysa Premium to consider from.
